I am sorry dear readers that I fell of the wagon. Life got a little crazy and I dropped a couple balls along the way.
Did everyone have a great Harvest season? We did here in my neck of the woods. Between hubby and I we carved 4 pumpkins, a total weight of ~90 lb. that only cost us a total of $16. We had fun carving the pumpkins and had a good chuckle at the faces of the dogs. Neither one of them likes pumpkin but didn’t want the other to have it either. 😀 I conquered the spider web stuff. That stretchy stuff that is supposed to make a spider web if you untangle it right. Yep I made it happen with the help of a few push pins and determination. With all my decorating efforts, pumpkin carving, and candy we got a total of 5 goblins. Next year I won’t be buying 5 bags of candy.
My favorite part of harvest season, besides the candy and decorating, is the fresh apple cider from the local farms. I have tried many different types of apple cider and local is the only kind I love!! Heat it up slowly on the stove, pour it in a mug, curl up on the sofa, then sip very very slowly with eyes closed. If you have never had fresh from the press apple cider you need to. Add it to your fall bucket list and go forth!
